This privacy notice for Scripttie ("App"), developed by Nadif Ali Fahim ("we", "us", or "Service Provider"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services"), such as when you:

  • Download and use our mobile application (Scripttie), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, support requests, or events.

Information We Collect

Scripttie operates on a local-first architecture. Your teleprompter scripts, video recordings, and voice data are stored and processed on your device's local storage. We collect a minimal amount of data required to operate the App, improve performance, understand usage patterns, and fix crashes. We do not have access to your creative content.

Permissions & Sensitve Data

To enable Voice-Sync, Scripttie requires Microphone Access. Audio is processed in real-time using on-device machine learning. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted to external servers for speech-to-text processing.

Payments & Subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and Google Play Billing for transactions. Scripttie does not store credit card numbers. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction identifiers to validate your "Pro" status across devices.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that process data according to their own privacy policies. These services process data on our behalf and do not have independent rights to use your data beyond providing their services. Relevant policies include:

Our Commitments

To protect your privacy, we strictly do not:

  • Sell your personal data
  • Rent your data to third parties
  • Use your data for targeted advertising
  • Track you across other apps or services

Subscriptions & Purchases

The App uses in-app purchases handled by your respective platform provider: Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Subscription logic is managed via RevenueCat.

  • We do not receive, process, or store your credit card or payment information.
  • Subscription status is associated with an anonymous identifier to enable Pro access across your devices.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics and diagnostic data are retained only as long as necessary for operational and improvement purposes. Because this data is anonymized, identifying, or exporting individual user data may be limited or impossible. If you uninstall the App, all data collection stops automatically.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Anonymous analytics and crash data are processed in compliance with applicable child privacy laws (COPPA, GDPR-K). Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by third-party services. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Reminder: Your scripts and recordings remain local and private on your device.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, deletion, or correction of your data. You may also opt out of analytics via your device system settings.

  • GDPR (EU): You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your local data at any time by clearing app cache.
  • CCPA (USA): We do not "sell" your personal information to third parties.
  • Data Portability: You can export your scripts via our export tool directly to your device storage.

Analytics & Infrastructure

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-focused, no cookies) and Google Play Console Analytics to monitor crash reports and app performance. This data is aggregated and contains no PII.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
